At The Hostel we decided that you guys deserved a hostel that was funky, cool and original throughout…so we didn’t just concentrate on the communal areas – our bedrooms have got original artworks by Jade Carrerra on the walls too.
We just want to ensure that you get a great nights sleep, so you will find modern bunks, fresh bedding and individual bed spotlights.
Embracing the original Victorian building, The Hostel is a spacious building over two levels and many of our rooms feature their own fabulous period features in their cornicing, high ceilings and large windows.
For those of you in our attic rooms, you will still find spacious rooms with all the comforts you’d expect from a top quality hostel.

West Side Hostel is in the West Side of the city within easy reach of ‘Haymarket’ and Edinburgh’s trendy West End.
The Hostel is located on Chesser Avenue close to Gorgie, Saughton, Murrayfield and short 10 minute bus ride fro, Haymarket Train and Tram station. West Side is located on the main bus route into the city centre. This is a great location to explore the city.

GROUP 8+ SECURITY DEPOSIT
Groups of more than 8 persons are required to pay a refundable security deposit of £20 per person on arrival. The deposit will be refunded on departure provided there has been no damages or behavior problems
