Cowgate Hostel
Cowgate is apartment style. Book a bed or private room in a shared space. At Cowgate we have 12 individually lockable group sized apartments which can be booked individually or exclusively by groups so you don’t need to share. Each apartment is fitted with it’s own toilet, shower rooms and kitchen/lounge. Kitchens include an oven, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, plates, dishes, cutlery and cooking pots.
The Group apartments sleeps between 8 and 20 persons in a combination of 3-5 Bedroom apartments made up of a combination of 4 Bed, 6 bed, Twin or Double rooms.

Cowgate Group Apartments have enjoyed great success in meeting the needs of modern day travellers. We are very experienced in dealing with large groups. Breakfast. evening meals can easily be arranged if required. The apartments are great for student and Youth groups. Leaders can book the private Twin or Double Room and 4 or 6 Bed Dorms for the group.
The apartments are located in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town close to the lively Grassmarket area. Greyfriars Bobby, Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and St Giles Cathedral are right there on your doorstop. This is the heart of Edinburgh’s party and cultural district. Cowgate Budget Apartments are situated between Holyrood house (the seat of the Scottish parliament) and Edinburgh Castle. Enjoy this fantastic location to explore Edinburgh and it’s numerous bars, cafes, shops, restaurants, nightclubs. Stag and Hen Groups are accepted at Cowgate.

During the day. Experience Edinburgh Castle or take a short walk to Holyrood Palace, the Queens home in Edinburgh. All major tourist attractions are just a very short stroll from the hostel. Then when the sun goes down all the main pubs and restaurants are right there for your enjoyment.
Set in a 19th century building in the heart of the World Heritage Listed Old Town. Our hostel is located just 50 metres from the Royal Mile. This is the ancient thoroughfare and main pulse of our cosmopolitan city.
Waverley Train station, new Tram Route and the airport shuttle bus are all less than 10 minutes walk away. Cowgate Budget Apartemtns are easy to find, but very difficult to leave.

Cowgate Budget Apartments has 11 Private Apartments that can be booked exclusively by groups. We also have some shared apartments where individual travellers can book either a bed or private room.
Private Group Apartments have 3, 4 or 5 Bedrooms. Each Apartment has a well equipped kitchen with dining table and seating as well as bathroom and shower room. There is also a large shared outdoor courtyard available at the back of the property.
